‘Le Grenelle de l’environment’, which translates in English to an ‘environmental debate’, is a multi-party roundtable held in France, which brings together representatives of both national and local governments, as well as industry, labour, and non-governmental organisations. This subsequently saw The Grenelle Act introduced in France in 2009, which aims at supporting companies in progression towards reporting their environmental and social information.
